How to know if a task is arrival-related or departure-related?

There is no obvious and generic answer to this question.

What we suggest is imagining a very early arrival or a very late departure.

For example, if we are trying to decide whether the Disembark Pax task is arrival-related or departure-related (yes it is a very simple example), let’s imagine our aircraft lands 10 hours early but departs on time. The passengers are not going to wait 10 hours and 3 minutes in the aircraft, this task is therefore obviously arrival-related.

A trickier example is the Catering task, as it is frequently carried out by stations shortly after arrival. However, if our aircraft arrives 10 hours early, the food is not going to sit in the aircraft for all this time, waiting for departure. This task is therefore more of a departure-related task.

Finally, for some tasks, like Cleaning, it is up to you and to how your station usually operated. Imagine an overnight turnaround, where the arrival and the departure and completely independent. If you would rather clean the aircraft in the evening, then it is rather an arrival-related task. On the contrary, if you would rather clean the aircraft early in the morning, before the departure, then it is rather a departure-related task.
