A position is an organizational attribute that describes a user's role (for example, Ramp Agent or Ramp Leader). With a standard AGOA setup, positions are informational and do not automatically limit functionality.
If your company has enabled Task Access Management, positions become functional:
A user's position controls which tasks they can see and edit in AGOA (for example, in Station View).
Positions can also affect visibility and editing of users in the Backoffice:
If a user has access to the Users tab, they will see only users with positions equal to or lower than their own.
They can edit users whose position is lower than theirs. For example, a Ramp Leader can view all users at the Ramp Leader level or below, but can only edit users with lower positions.
